La Quinta Homes for Sale
The City of La Quinta has something for everyone! There’s golfing at La Quinta’s spectacular public course, SilverRock Resort; dining and shopping in the quaint La Quinta Village area or along the Highway 111 commercial corridor; biking along the Bear Creek Trail; and hiking in the Santa Rosa mountains, just to name a few.
La Quinta is situated approximately 150 miles northeast of San Diego and 130 miles east of Los Angeles on the desert floor of the Coachella Valley. The valley is flanked on three sides by the Little San Bernardino, Santa Rosa, and San Jacinto Mountains. The protection afforded by the mountains contributes to the arid climate. Average rainfall per year is less than 5 inches total. Low temperatures rarely drop below freezing, while highs during the summer are usually in the triple digits—but it’s a “dry” heat. Visitors from colder climates flock to La Quinta and surrounding cities in the Coachella Valley from November to May because of our extremely mild winters.
No matter your pleasure, you’re sure to find plenty of reasons to come and enjoy the “Gem of the Desert – La Quinta!”
