In 2006 Ed founded Synergy Mortgage and Real Estate which quickly emerged as a leader in mortgage brokering. As lenders began to tighten their belts, making it increasingly difficult to obtain loan approval for clients Ed decided to close Synergy Mortgage in April of 2010.  Shortly after closing Synergy Mortgage Ed joined American Financial Network a direct banker. Working for a direct banker gives Ed more control over the outcome of a clients loan. We have delegated authority to underwrite and fund FHA, VA, USDA and conventional loan products in-house. But that’s just the beginning of my service. Throughout the lending process, I provide regular loan updates and progress reports so you always know the status of your loan. I also offer a special Mortgage Manager service if you are considering a refinance of your current mortgage. And, now it’s my pleasure to offer all of my exceptional mortgage services online. Business Motto and Areas of Expertise

Ed’s motto in business is helping his clients achieve greater peace of mind that their mortgage payment fits within their budget guidelines. Unlike others in the business who present only one loan program Ed gives his clients the option to choose the mortgage that’s right for them!  After qualifying a client Ed presents every loan product for which they qualify.  “This is a win win for everyone, while fostering good will and mutual respect,” stated Ed in a recent interview. I adhere to a strict code of ethics, enabling you to feel at ease with the knowledge you are working with a professional advisor who will insure you get the best financing at the lowest cost.

Trust

My approach to business is simple.  It is relationship-based versus transaction-based.  I believe it is important to build trust before the transaction by talking extensively with clients about their goals for a property, how it fits into their life and how it will affect their financial future. Through this process I get a very clear picture of what kind of loan program will work best for their needs. By understanding the client, I am able to better choose the best loan option and advise the client in a prudent and principled way.

Oftentimes a client will ask me to consult with a member of their financial advisory team regarding the mortgage.  My goal is to coordinate the entire team’s input combined with the client’s perspective to arrive at a well-reasoned and agreed upon decision for the loan type and rate.  Because of my years of experience with CPA’s, business managers, attorneys, asset managers and real estate agents, I am able to “speak their language” while keeping a clear focus on our common goal of arriving at what is best for our client.

The transaction

Today’s lending environment is restrictive if sometimes not downright hostile.  The level of scrutiny being exerted on borrowers is extreme compared with years past.  The good news is that combining my expertise with a private banker allows me to choose from a wide variety of programs, lenders and their respective niche strengths.  Further, with over eight years in financial services and mortgage lending experience under my belt, there are few times that a client’s situation will present a wrinkle that I haven’t dealt with successfully.  While every transaction and client is unique, drawing upon knowledge and experience always serves the borrower well.  Conversely, arguing a loan’s merits to a lender in a successful way requires this seasoned perspective.

Service and integrity

Since my only source of business is referrals from satisfied clients and their circle of influence, it is incumbent upon me to endeavor to make each transaction not only fair but as seamless as possible.  One of the great rewards of this business has been forging long- lasting relationships with my clients.  Giving all of my clients the courtesy and attention to detail that they deserve while working aggressively to help them reach their goals has been a proven and mutually rewarding business model.  My communication with borrowers is always forthright and born of the philosophy that “facts are friends”.
